Summer is here! There is so much we’d all like to do but so little time to do it, and often, little budget as well! Here are some ideas that you could use to make a little extra cash so you can make your Summer dreams possible.
Sell things you don’t need!
There’s no better time to make some extra cash getting rid of things you don’t need around the house than in the Summer! With garage sales and flea markets up and running, the opportunity is definitely there. If you don’t feel like setting up tables in your yard or renting one at a flea market, social media online is full of groups and pages devoted to buying and selling used items in almost any area you can think of. It’s time to go through your closet, sort out the things you don’t need and turn that into a weekend outing!
Rent out
If you have an extra room available, why not rent it out for the Summer months? Many travelers and seasonal workers are looking for a place to stay during this season so finding a renter can actually be relatively easy. You can use popular apps like airbnb to find short term renters and make some passive income!
Pet sitting
Summer is vacation time for many cat and dog owners. Not everyone has someone they can trust who is available to look after them. If you’re someone who likes and is good with animals, you can offer your services at a pet sitter. In some situations, the owner may even ask you to house sit at the same time which, aside from providing additional revenue, will give you a change of scenery.
Online surveys
This won’t make you rich or even suffice as a full time job but if you’re looking for a few extra dollars, this is a good one that you can do any time of the year. Just do a quick google search and you’ll find dozens of websites that will pay you to answer surveys. We’re not talking big money here, but if you have a free afternoon and no better way to make an extra buck, the option is always available!
These are just a couple ideas to get you started but if you have skills or knowledge of your own, you can put that to good use as well. Good luck and have a great Summer!
